NASA And Nokia To Install 4G Technology On Moon Surface

As part of the project, which will be carried out by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and technology firm Nokia, it was announced that it is aimed to build a lunar base and make 4G technology functional by 2028 with the aim of maintaining a human presence on the Moon.

CNN television reported that NASA has transferred $14 million of the $370 million budget allocated to provide data transmission and communication, including control of vehicles on the lunar surface, path finding and image streaming, to Nokia’s BellLabs.

The wireless network technology on the moon will be specially designed to withstand extreme heat and radiation-coated surface features. It will also not be affected by vibrations that will occur on the surface during rocket landings and takeoffs.
