According to a study, the average temperature of gases that form celestial bodies has increased 10 times in the last 10 billion years, as a result of which the universe is gradually warming.
Combining data collected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and the European Space Agency’s Planck mission to map the heat of the universe, researchers found that cosmic gases reached a temperature of 2.5 million degrees.
According to the Big Bang Theory, as the universe expanded, dark matter was also known to heat up the gases it encountered on the road. But for the first time, the rate of warming was calculated as net.
