Teremin was found by Russian Professor Leon Theremin. Its original name was Termenvox or Aetherphone. It was later renamed “Theremin”in English.
Control is achieved between two metal antennas, these antennas detect the position of the hands of the person playing the instrument. Vibration waves are sent with one hand and the intensity of the sound is adjusted with the other hand.
Since its construction, many musicians and physicists have been interested in this interesting and distinctive instrument. Jerry Lewis, Cary Grant, Vladamir Lenin, Albert Einstein, Igor Stravinsky are among the people who have played or tried to play teremin.
