Pandas (Ailuropoda) are known for their laziness, with males 1.5 meters tall reaching up to 115 pounds the animals are. But contrary to this idea, bamboo trees have very superior climbing skills. Pandas have a feeding program consisting of bamboo. These animals, which spend 12-14 hours a day feeding, eat up to 38 pounds of bamboo shoots and leaves.
Unfortunately, pandas have also had their share of global warming. During the period from 1973 to 1984, the population of wild pandas decreased by up to 50%.
